Is the Swokei Academy free?
Yes, completely. There is no payment and no card required, and every lesson and template is open to read.
Do I need a Swokei account?
No. You can read every lesson without signing up. For now, your progress is saved in this browser, so it will not follow you to another device.
Is it only about redesigning old websites?
No. Many local businesses have no website at all, and the Get Clients course has a full lesson on finding them, reaching the owner and selling a first website. The pricing, meeting and care lessons work for both kinds of client.
Who teaches it?
The tips come from a web design agency we know that runs with a team and brings in about $200k a month. The lessons are how they build sites and find clients, written down step by step. Their results are not a promise of yours.
Who is it for?
Web designers, web developers, freelancers and small web agencies who want to build better sites, find clients and run the business side well. It is written mainly for people working with small local businesses in the US.
How long does it take?
It depends on how much you do. Each lesson ends with a practical exercise and shows roughly how long it takes, so you can work through one in a sitting or follow a whole course over a few weeks.
Do I need coding experience?
No. The Build Websites course shows you how to plan a site and build it with an AI coding assistant, and explains the technical parts in plain words. Some comfort with computers and a willingness to test your work carefully helps.
Is there a certificate?
No, not at the moment. What you leave with is real work: a niche and offer, outreach you can send, a site you have built and the templates to run projects.
Do I need Swokei to finish the Academy?
No. Every lesson teaches the full skill so you can do it with whatever tools you prefer. A few lessons show how Swokei can help with outreach, and those are optional.
Can I use the templates with my own clients?
Yes. Copy them, edit them and use them in your business. Templates that touch outreach or contracts include a note that they are not legal advice, so check the rules where you work.
Are there videos?
Today the lessons are written step by step guides with diagrams and real screenshots. Video walkthroughs are being produced and will be added to lessons.
